Go to bed. Go and shower. - There are some common phrase the come from parents.
After I read a book on parenthood, it recommended parent to give children the time to prepare themselves for the next events.
For example, "Go to Bed." a better choice will be "Another 10 minutes, please go to bed."
I practice that on my son, and it works great!
