PARETO PRINCIPLE – 80:20

• 80% of the business sales come from 20% customer 
• 80% of the total wealth of the top 10 world riches is contributed by the 20%.
• 80% of your values to your company come from 20% of your effort

In another word, if you have 10 task given to you, only 2 of them will contribute most of your 80% of your value to the company.

Assuming all 10 task takes equal amount of time and effort. If you have selected the 2 key tasks and done a good job, you would have secure your job by 80%.

But if you spent your time on 8 tasks which contribute only 20% of your value to the company, your job is not secure and would have spend more time and effort compare to the first.

To conclude, select and complete the tasks that provide the most value to the company first. Being selective of the tasks save you time, effort and give you the edge.
