IS YOUR MONEY WORKING HARD?

RULE 72 is to method to estimate your investment doubling time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_72

72 / annual return = number of years to double

for example, put $1000 in a bank with 10% interest, you will double the amount in 7.2 years time. (72 / 10 = 7.2)

In Singapore, if you put your money in a saving or fixed deposit, the interest is less than 1%. Which also means, $1000 its will takes 72 years for it to become $2000.

World 2nd richest man, his annual return is 24%. Which means, he only takes 3.6 years to reach $2000 of his $1000 investment.

With this measurement, you can see clearly the difference between the rich and the poor. The choice yours, to keep your money in the bank or other better investments?
